Alice Proud

Alice L. Proud February 25, 1935 - June 14, 2016 Alice L. Proud, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. She was born in LaPorte, IN, the daughter of Victor Schultz and Loretta (Hensel) Schultz. On August 6, 1955, in LaPorte, IN, she married John R. Proud who preceded her in death September 19, 2012. Alice loved doing jig saw puzzles, and visiting with neighbors on her porch. She is survived by her two sons, John R Proud, Jr. of South Bend, IN, and Dennis L. Proud of La Porte, IN; grandson, Jacob Wesley Proud; three sisters, Jacqueline Canon of Griffith, IN, Patty (Steve) Bell of La Porte, IN, and June Wood of La Porte, IN. Alice was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Rosland Proud; five sisters, Barbara Struss, Betty Reese, Judy Harrington, Wilberta Wood, and Alberta Naegel; six brothers, Robert Schultz, Jimmy Schultz, Jerry Schultz, Ronald Schultz, Richard Schultz and Victor Schultz. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN.
