Bernice S. Blohm August 15, 1919-February 3, 2014 Miss Bernice S. Blohm, 94, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday February 3, 2014 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. She was born August 15, 1919 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Herbert Blohm and Minnie (Newman) Blohm. Bernice worked thirty-plus years for General Telephone, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She is survived by her 2 sisters - Jane A. Blohm of La Porte, IN, Lois M. O'Brien of Elkhart, IN, and several cousins. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 12:30 pm, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Thursday February 6, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana.
