Christopher C. Pieschala August 17, 1972-February 20, 2014 Mr. Christopher C. Pieschala, 41, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday February 20, 2014 at his home in LaPorte. He was born August 17, 1972 in Grovetown, Georgia. He is survived by his parents, Carl B. Johnson of LaPorte, and Diana (Travis) Johnson of Duncan, British Columbia, Canada; daughter - Sophia Pieschala of Chicago, IL; grandmother - Doris Eldridge of La Porte, IN; sister - Heidi (Andrew) Chalik of La Porte, IN; and niece and nephew -Victoria and Travis Chalik of La Porte, IN. Christopher was employed as a IT tech in Chicago. He received a honorable discharge from the US Air Force, after serving 5 years during Desert Storm and Okinawa. Japan. He was a fourth degree black belt of Tae Kwon Do. Christopher was a loving father and loved spending time with his daughter. Christopher was preceded in death by his; grandparents, Powell and Joan Travis and grandfather, Bud Eldridge. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Agape Christian Church, Saturday March 1, 2014 at 10:00 am with Rev. Rodney Nielsen officiating. Cremation will take place.
