Deborah Leach

Deborah M. Leach, 55, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at her home, atter a three year courageous battle with leukemia. She was born April 24, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Robert Kraus and Stella (Adamow) Kraus. Deborah worked as a mental health technician and enjoyed working with the people at The Madison Center. On July 12, 1982, in LaPorte, IN, she married Leamon "Lamar" Leach who preceded her in death February 18, 2010. She is survived by her son - Christopher Leach of La Porte, IN; 2 step-daughters - Sandy (Chuck) Smith of La Porte, IN, Teresa (Rob) Fleisher of La Porte, IN; four step- grandchildren; brother-in-law - Timothy Bline of La Porte, IN, and close friend - Sharon Meyers of La Porte, IN. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Michael Kraus, and one sister, Roberta Bline. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, January 21, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday, January 21, 2013 at 6:00 pm with Pastor Billy Nickrand officiating. Cremation will take place.
