Dennis Burdine

Dennis Lee Burdine May 29, 1953-July 11, 2016 Dennis Lee Burdine, 63, of LaPorte, went to be with his Lord and Savior after being blessed with 63 years of love from family and hundreds of friends. He was born May 29, 1953 in Knox, Indiana, the son of Richard W. Burdine (Big D) and Gladys M. (Simonton) Burdine. He is survived by his loving siblings, Sharon K. (Richard "Nick") Hoffmann, Richard G. (Ann) Burdine, and Carl E. (Irene) Burdine; along with several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded by his parents. Dennis was a joy to be with--whether riding his horse, pitching for the Cubs, helping the LaPorte Co. Sheriffs Dept. in his special full dress uniform, or when he was being the special manager at Burdine Auto Body (his most important job!) Dennis was a 10. His life was so meaningful for those who knew him--more then you can even ever imagine. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 2016, from 9:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday July 15, 2016 at 11:00 am with Dr. Joseph Loftis officiating. Interment will follow at the Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, Indiana.
