Elsie Marie Bull March 9, 1932-January 25, 2014 Elsie Marie Bull, 81, of La Porte, Indiana, died Saturday January 25, 2014 at her home in La Porte, IN. She was born March 9, 1932 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Joseph Benson and Edith (Wilhelm) Benson. Elsie had worked for Howmet Mfg., retiring after 34 years. She was a member of Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family and her dog "Scooter". Elsie was a very loving, compassionate and independent women. She enjoyed gardening, her house and the farm. Elsie was loved by everyone. On May 1, 1954, in LaPorte, IN, she married Norman J. Bull who preceded her in death February 2, 2001. She is survived by her son - Rex (Colleen) Bull of Austin, TX; daughter - Becky (Randy) Popplewell of La Porte, IN; 5 grandchildren - Lindsey, Kristal, David, Shannon, and Tyler; 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Noah, Chase, and two on the way; 2 brothers - Ben (Sue) Benson of La Porte, IN, and Jim (Carol) Benson of CA. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Debra Yoder, and 3 brothers, Harold, Roger, and Larry Benson. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Friday, January 31, 2014 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday January 31, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jay Loucks officiating.
