Emanuel "Minnow" Wawok November 23, 1928-May 13, 2014 Mr. Emanuel "Minnow" Wawok, 85, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, died Tuesday May 13, 2014. He is now fishing in the heavens with family by his side. He was born November 23, 1928 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Stephan Wawok and Rose (Mendzak) Wawok. Minnow retired from the Budd Co. in 1982 after 25 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the P.N.A., P.N.A. Rod and Gun Club and Saugany Lake Conservation Club. Minnow loved the outdoors, fishing, traveling and camping. On January 28, 1956, in The Pines, he married Lillian Rusnak Wawok. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; two daughters, Judy Branham, Melodie (Kim) Ackerson; three sons, Larry (Carolyn) Konfirst, Steven (Regina) Wawok, Joseph (Emily) Konfirst; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Stan Wawok, Walter Wawok, Casmir Wawok; and three sisters, Sophie Zook, Irene Wawok, and Helen Macher. Emanuel was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and 2 brothers. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Upon his request there will be no services or viewing, cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saugany Lake Conservation Club, 7882 N.
