Geneva P. Fraser October 15, 1925 - February 9, 2016 Geneva P. Fraser, age 90, of LaPorte, IN, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 with her devoted daughter by her side. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Lukasiewicz; granddaughters, Jennifer (Cole) Hunt and Melissa Lukasiewicz. Preceded in death by her parents, March and Odessa Oliver; husband, Benoni V. Fraser; sisters, Valaree Coleman and Helen Rogers. Geneva was born in Fredonia, KY on October 15, 1925. She moved to Evansville, IN and worked at The Baby Shop for 10 years until 1957. On August 27, 1949, she married Benoni Fraser. After having her only daughter, Gail, the family moved to LaPorte, IN where she was an active member of the community. She worked for the LaPorte Community School Corporation food service for 15 years. She also volunteered at the Herald Argus. Additionally, she was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church. Geneva loved caring for and supporting her granddaughters whether that meant traveling hours just to spend time with them, attending their figure skating competitions or numerous school events. When she wasn't with her daughter and granddaughters, she enjoyed caring for her cat, Pumpkin, cooking, gardening, and visiting family in Kentucky. She took great pride in her home and flowers. Geneva was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Haverstock Funeral Home 602 Maple Avenue LaPorte, IN with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Interment at Alexander Memorial Park, Evansville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral service at the funeral home.
