Grace Renfro

Grace Alice Renfro, 93, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Thursday March 31, 2011 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte, IN. She was born March 31, 1918 in Bailey, Michigan, the daughter of James Sanford Penland and Frances Emily (Krauthaus) Penland. Grace was a member of Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church, Michiana C.C.C. Alumi Chapter 105. On March 31, 1942, in Whitehall, MI, she married George R. Renfro who preceded in death March 6, 2001. Grace is survived by several nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, and two sisters Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, April 4, 2011 from 11:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday April 4, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jay Loucks officiating. Interment will follow at the Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, IN.
