Jack Buehrer

Jack William Buehrer July 22, 1934-September 29, 2015 Mr. Jack William Buehrer, 81, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Millers Merry Manor in New Carlisle, IN. He was born July 22, 1934 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Fred Buehrer and Eva (Smith) Buehrer. Jack was a farmer and was a bus driver for New Prairie School Systems for 32 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Christian Church of La Porte, a 55 year member of the Rolling Prairie Lions Club, La Porte County Sunday Farm Old Irons Club and International Harvester Collector's Chapter 33. Jack liked to work on antique tractors, he was an avid camper and enjoyed western movies. On June 1, 1966, he married Shirley (James) Buehrer who preceded in death Dec. 13, 2000. He is survived by his son, Scott Buehrer of Rolling Prairie, IN; son-in-law, Johnny Adams of Rolling Prairie, IN; two brothers, Fred (Judy) Buehrer of Rolling Prairie, IN and Tom (Sharon) Buehrer of Martinville, IN. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter, Carla Adams. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. for Jack and his daughter Carla Adams Saturday October 10, 2015 at 10:00 am with Pastor David Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, October 9, 2015, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, October 10, 2015, 9:00 am until time of service. The Rolling Prairie Lion's Club will conduct a memorial service at 7:00 pm Friday, October 9, 2015. Interment will be held after the service at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, Indiana.
