Kevin H. Weiland October 16, 1962-August 22, 2013 Mr. Kevin H. Weiland, 50, of Hometown, Illinois, passed Thursday, August 22, 2013, unexpectedly in Memphis, Indiana. In 1981, he moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he has called home for the past 32 years. He was born October 16, 1962 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Harold Weiland and Myrna (Miller) Weiland. Kevin was a LaPorte High School graduate. He was owner/operator, and drove for Trans United Trucking for the past 10 years. Kevin was proud to carry on the family tradition of truck driving and was happy to work with his father and uncles. Kevin had received numerous awards including 9 years of safe driving. Kevin was very dedicated to his job. He loved spending time with his family, extended family and friends first and foremost. On October 16, 1992, in Bridgeview, IL, he married Karen Jo (Rainbolt) Weiland who survives. He is also survived by his daughter - Taylor Violet Weiland of Hometown, IL; parents, Harold and Myrna Weiland of New Carlisle, IN.; brother - Craig (Alisa) Weiland of Rolling Prairie, IN; nephew - Austin Weiland; niece - Cheyanne Weiland; mother-in-law - Betty Jo Rainbolt; 3 brother-in-laws - Richard (Donna) Rainbolt, Robert Rainbolt, Ronald (Patty) Rainbolt; numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; many truck driver friends throughout the US over the years. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Monday, August 26, 2013 from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:00 am with John Marron, officiating. Interment will follow at the New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Kevin H. Weiland.
