Mamie Jesch

Mamie V. Jesch, 92, of La Porte, Indiana, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Settlers House in La Porte. She was born May 13, 1919 in Almena, Michigan, the daughter of Chancy Pearce and Nina (Ginther) Pearce. Mamie was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Michigan City. Mamie enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. On June 6, 1942, in Michigan City, she married Norman P. Jesch who preceded her in death on August 29, 1996. She is survived by her daughter - Sierra Sue Jesch of La Porte, IN; son - Douglas (Darlene) Jesch of La Porte, IN; five grandchildren, Curtis McCormack II of Phoenix, AZ, Tania Wehlage of Indianapolis, IN, Denise (Scott) Esslinger of Danville, IN, Keith Culvahouse of La Porte, IN, Dustin Jesch of Valparaiso, IN; four great-grandchildren, Angelique Wehlage, Zackary Wehlage, Xander Esslinger, Xavier Esslinger; Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, three step-sisters, two brothers, one step brother, and one grandson. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 10:00 am, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc, on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11:00 am with Pastor William Fine officiating.
