Marguerite L. Wood October 6, 1921-September 24, 2014 Marguerite L. Wood, 92, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday September 24, 2014 at Miller's Health and Rehab in La Porte, IN. She was born October 6, 1921 in Tefft, Indiana, the daughter of Alfred Cullen and Hazel (Scott) Cullen. Marguerite worked thirty years for American Rubber, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of LaPorte. Marguerite loved to do word search puzzles. She was a avid bowler, and enjoyed the Senior League. Marguerite attended all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren sporting events. She loved her church and is now with the Lord and with all of her loved ones, who went before her. On June 29, 1946, in LaPorte, IN, she married Raymond G. Wood who preceded in death October 10, 1991. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Mike) Riehle of La Porte, IN, Lucinda (Bill) King of La Porte, IN; two grandchildren, Bryan (Amy) Adams, Michael (Amy) Riehle; four great-grandchildren, Austin Adams, Zoe Adams, Peyton Riehle, and Shelby Riehle; one brother, William Cullen of Kouts, IN. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, and one brother. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, September 26, 2014 from 9:00 am to 9:45 am. A Catholic funeral mass with a Christian burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Friday September 26, 2014 at 10:00 am with Rev. Joseph Angotti officiating.
