Marjorie "Marge" Ann Dickson July 10, 1932-October 14, 2013 Mrs. Marjorie "Marge" Ann Dickson , 81, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday October 14, 2013 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born July 10, 1932 in Stillwell, Indiana, the daughter of Roland L. McMahon and Helen (Atwood) McMahon. Marjorie worked as a teacher's aide for Building Blocks Nursery School. She was a member of Salem Chapel United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women of the church.. Marjorie was a Sunday school teacher for thirty-two years and a 4-H leader for twenty-six years. She was a founding member of the Merry Moderns Home Extension Club. Marjorie enjoyed crafting, gardening, cooking and loved feeding and watching birds. On March 22, 1952, in La Porte, IN, she married Allen M. Dickson who preceded her in death March 29, 2002. She is survived by her 3 daughters - Vickie (Mark D.) Daniel of Hebron, IN, Cathy A. Sale of La Porte, IN, Sandra (Darrin) McKinzie of Shelbyville, IN; son - Dale (Debra) Dickson of Greenfield, IN; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great-grandson on the way, three sisters - Betty Morris of Westville, IN, Ruth Bannwart of La Porte, IN, Patricia (Edwin) Lee of Union Pier, MI and her dog- Dixie. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Roland D. McMahon. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, October 18, 2013 from 10:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday October 18, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Robert Raschka officiating.
