Norman E Teets November 1, 1937-December 20, 2014 Mr. Norman E Teets, 77, of Walkerton, Indiana, died Saturday December 20, 2014 at Walkerton-Miller's Merry Manor. He was born November 1, 1937 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Frank Teets and Sheila (Jendrzek) Teets. Norman worked as a insurance agent for Commonwealth/Monumental and was a very successful. He attended the Grace Baptist Church in LaPorte. He loved fishing and traveling to the Carribean and Hawaii. Norman loved working in the yard He is with Peace with Lord Jesus Christ. On August 22, 1959, in River Forest Ill, he married Carol (Wheeler) Teets who survives. He is also survived by his son, Gary (Liberty) Teets; daughter, Tammy (David) Teets-Mergenthaler of New Lenox, IL; two grandchildren, Joseph "Joey" Mergenthaler, Shannon (Britton) Jones; great-grandchildren, Braydon and Bradley; two sisters, Eleanor Nickel of Michigan City, IN, and Ramona Bendix of Michigan City, IN; several nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Clarence Teets, brother-in-law, Roger Nickel, and brother-in-law, Don Bendix. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. There will be no visitation and no services. Cremation will take place.
