Patricia A. Rootes September 5, 1938-January 4, 2018 Patricia A. Rootes , 79, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home in Michigan City, Indiana. She was born September 5, 1938 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Walter Herman Pries and Iren Alice (Schultz) Pries. Patricia retired from American Rubber. She enjoyed doing puzzles and going blueberry picking. She married Bennie L. Rootes who preceded in death May 25, 2000. She is survived by her three sons, Ronnie (Brenda) Rootes of Michigan City, IN, Dennis (Reagena) Rootes of Adamsville, TN, Ricky (Angie) Rootes of Michigan City, IN; three daughters, Rose (Keith) Vernard of Michigan City, IN, Donna (Jeff) Freismuth of Michigan City, IN, Judy (Steve) Lopez of La Porte, IN; twenty-two-grandchildren; seventeen-great grandchildren; two-great-great grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Rootes, three sisters, two granddaughters, Crystal Vernard and Amanda Leslie. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Indiana. There will be no visitation or service.
