Patrick Mcmahon

Mr. Patrick A. McMahon, 70, of La Porte, Indiana, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born October 16, 1941 in LaPorte, Indiana, the son of John A. McMahon and Eldora (Downey) McMahon. Patrick worked as a lineman for Norfolk and Southern Railroad, retiring in 2006. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Patrick enjoyed NASCAR, old cars, watching football, and camping. Pat and Ruby enjoyed going for rides and counting the horses. He was married on December 6, 2006; Patrick was a loving husband to Ruby (Wilson) McMahon who survives. He is also survived by his step-children - Steve, Julie (Alan), Michael, Mario of La Porte, IN; grandchild - Angy (Shawn) Peschke of Indianapolis, IN; brother - Jim (Pearl) McMahon of La Porte, IN; two nephews - Michael McMahon of GA, James McMahon of SC., and one niece - Kristine Wright of La Porte, IN. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm & Friday, November 11, 2011 from 1:00 pm, until time of service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.
