Virginia Mae Renfro May 23, 1937-March 26, 2014 Mrs. Virginia Mae Renfro, 76, of La Porte, Indiana, died Wednesday March 26, 2014 at her home. She was born May 23, 1937 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Lester Sanford Harper and Iva Mae (Dulin) Harper. Virginia was a member of First Christian Church of LaPorte. Virginia and her husband were owners of the LaPorte Roller Rink for 42 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. On September 26, 1959, in Michigan City, IN, she married Edward W Renfro who preceded her in death December 3, 2001. She is survived by her daughter - Melissa A. (Gerald "Pete") Cable of La Porte, IN; 3 grandchildren - Rachel A. Cable, Chad W. Cable, and Gwendolyn L. Cable; and nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Donald E. Harper. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, March 28, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9:00 am, until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday March 29, 2014 at 10:00 am with Rev. Everett Shattuck officiating.
