November Events

  • Flag Retirement Program
    Thursday, November 01, 2012 : 12:00 AM to Saturday, November 30, 2013 : 12:00 AM

Haverstock Funeral Home Flag Retirement Program

Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services will be collecting retired flags to honor deceased veterans.

As with us all, the American flag has a life-span and every flag deserves to be decommissioned honorably.

American flags that are no longer suitable for display will be accepted by Haverstock Funeral Home and will honor a fallen veteran by being draped across their casket at the time of cremation.

Upon receipt of the cremated remains, the family will receive a certificate stating that a retired US flag was draped across the veteran as the flags’ last Deed of Service.

A brochure detailing the Flag Retirement is available and also lists Flag Etiquette and a brief history.

Flags can be donated to the Haverstock Funeral Home Flag Retirement Program at any time. For more information, please call 219-362-3333.
