Diana Katsianis

Diana Katsianis December 11, 1930-January 11, 2018 Diana Katsianis, 87, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday January 11, 2018 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. She was born December 11, 1930 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Nick Katsianis and Sophie (Baron) Katsianis and was a life long resident of the La Porte area. Diana was a member of the St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church of South Bend, IN and a member of the Good Samaritan Club. She graduated from the Rolling Prairie High School in 1949. She owned and operated the Maple Leaf Grill for over 47 years. She is survived by her nephew, John (Rose) Katsianis; niece, Diane Katsianis; several great nieces and nephews; four cousins, Maria Angelos, John (Sue) Angelos, Cindy (Dain) Crawford, and Connie Kuzydym. Diana was preceded in death by both her parents; 2 brothers, Pete Katsianis and John Katsianis; and a step sister Mayme Habdas. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, January 19, 2018, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Saturday, January 20, 2018, 10:00 am - 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday January 20, 2018 at 11:00 am with Father George Konstantopoulos officiating.
