Duane Hastings

Duane Hastings March 24, 1947-December 7, 2018 Duane L. Hastings, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 4:30 a.m. with his family by his side. Duane was born in LaPorte, IN on March 24, 1947 to the late Donald and Casmira (Wiwatoski) Hastings. He graduated from LaPorte High School in 1965 before serving his country during the Vietnam War. He spent his life as a carpenter in the LaPorte area, building countless residential and commercial properties. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed playing golf, cooking, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dennis and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sharon, son Laine (wife Holly) and daughter Devon (fiancé Lee Hunsberger). There will be no services at this time.
