Norma Plumley

Norma Plumley October 31, 1939-November 24, 2018 Norma Plumley, 79, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at her home in La Porte, Indiana. She was born October 31, 1939 in Salem, Indiana, the daughter of Oscar McKnight and Retta Mcknight. Norma enjoyed driving trucks, quilting, and playing bingo. She loved owls and most of all she loved spending time with her family. On June 24, 1972, in Salem, Indiana, she married John Everrett Plumley who preceded in death January 14, 2014. She is survived by her son, James Church; step-son, Thomas (Mary) Plumley; two step-daughters, Michelle Miller, Annie (Adam) Taylor; daughter-in-law, Vicki Church; six Grandchildren, Brett (Pam) Bumgardner, Nicole Bumgardner, Rue Allen (Valerie) Church, April Church, Patience Church, James Church; seventeen great-grandchildren; Norma was preceded in death by both her parents, son, Gene Church, daughter, Carolyn Carey. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN. A life celebration will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, Monday December 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Interment will follow.
