Shirley Sipe

Shirley L. Sipe December 6, 1926-April 29, 2017 Shirley L. Sipe, 90, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Saturday April 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born December 6, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Harold Fidler and Bernice (Allen) Fidler. Shirley retired from Edward Jones, where she was a business office associate. Shirley enjoyed bowling, and spending time with her family, especially grandchildren. On May 24, 1947, in Gary, Indiana, she married James W. Sipe who preceded her in death June 6, 1976. She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Carney of Mishawaka, IN, Kathryn A. (Brian) Hope of Saginaw, TX; two sons, James W. (Linda) Sipe Jr. of Erving, TX, Richard M. (Michelle) Sipe of Sun Rise Beach, MO; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and one brother. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, May 5, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 6, 2017, 10:00 am - until time of service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick officiating.
