Avice Ferel

Mrs. Avice G. Ferel, 90, of 1211 Longwood Dr. Apt. 217, LaPorte, IN. died Sunday, April 4, 2004, at 10:55 p.m. at the LaPorte Hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1913 in Bloomington, IL. To Roy and Lou Kerr Karr, and has lived in the LaPorte area since 1952. Mrs. Ferel is retired from Whirlpool Corp. and had worked for many years in the IBM Section. She is a member of the First Christian Church of LaPorte and the LaPorte Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #280. On May 30, 1938, in Bloomington, IL., she married Russell W. Ferel who preceded in death on November 2, 1999. She also was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Surviving are many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday April 7, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at Eastlawn Memorial Garden in Bloomington, IL., with the Rev. Jim Warren officiating.
