Belva Stone

Mrs. Belva E. Stone, 83, of 1700 ?I? St., LaPorte, Indiana, pass away Sunday April 18, 2004, at Countryside Place, Laporte, Indiana. Born February 2, 1921in Mayfield, Kentucky, to Arthur and Nina Miller Waldrop, who preceded. She married Wesley Stone on January 4, 1944, in Mayfield, Kentucky, who preceded on January 1, 1976. Mrs. Stone was a homemaker and worked at K.O.P. during WWII, also worked for Kingsley Furniture. She was a member of Wesleyan Church of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, enjoyed sewing and being with her family. Surviving are one daughter; Sandra Steven Arthur of Las Vegas, Nevada, one son; Dennis Stone of Virginia Beach, Virginia, four grandsons; Ryan Sara Propes of LaPorte, Devon Stone of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Sheldon Stone of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Roy Stone of Saint Louis, Missouri. She also had four great- grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Stone will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Saturday April 24, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob Clevenger officiating. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will be in the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorials contributions may be made to the donor?s choice.
