Brenda Kathleen Reese, 48, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 11:07 p.m., Monday October 27, 2025 at VNA Hospice in Valparaiso.

She was born on January 17, 1977 in La Porte to James Reese and Jean (Bragdon) Grzybowzki.

To Brenda, Family and friends meant the world to her and she was known by many. She had a very friendly and social personality. Brenda was greatly loved and will be truly missed.

She survived by her mother Jean Grzybowski; two daughters, Gwenndolyn (Mark Fetzko) Wood, Jayme Wood; son, Dacoda (Diane Westerhoff) Reese; brother, James (Susan) Reese; two sisters, Samantha Reese, Vicki Reese; seven grandchildren, Layla, Cyric, Ravyn, Hazel, Kamden, Korbin, Brooklynn; boyfriend, James Srednoselac.

Brenda was preceded in death by father James Reese.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., (210) 362-3333. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.
