Carrol L. Dawson Stark passed away at her home in Oro Valley, Arizona on Thursday, December 14, 2006. On, December 24, 1924, she entered this world as the first daughter of A. Ward and Evelyn Stromwall Dawson. She married, on May 30, 1942, Anton W. Stark. Their family included three children, Carolyn Stark Drew, Al Linda Upp Stark, Marcia Stark; their grandchildren, Jennifer Stark Xabier Beristain, Kimberlyn J. Drew Andrew Moore, Alexander Stark; and one great grandaughter, Phoebe Anne Drew Moore. Her survivors include the immediate family above; her younger sister, Marylin Dawson Hill; along with two brothers-in-law; A.C. Hill, Bernhardt Stark; three sisters-in-law; Louise Dawson, Frances Kuta, Pat Stark; and nieces and nephews. Her younger brother, Warren Dawson, preceded her in death. Carrol was active as a homemaker and in community activities, participating in March of Dimes, the PTA, and Circle groups of The First United Methodist Church in LaPorte, IN. She was an Avon representative for 10 years; and clerked in the LaPorte County Treasurer?s office for nine. The family will receive callers at the Haverstock Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday evening, December 19, 2006. Her funeral will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 with Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating. Her final resting place will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
