Cassandra Lee “Frosty” Vaughn passed away on February 23, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 55. She was born on June 30, 1968, in La Porte, IN. Cassandra, known to many as “Frosty”, was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She was a vibrant and energetic individual who touched the lives of those around her. Cassandra graduated from Purdue as a registered nurse, showcasing her intelligence and dedication to helping others. Her fun-loving nature and ability to make friends easily meant she was loved by many.

Cassandra leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her daughters Britnay Lawson, Alex Vaughn, Madison Vaughn, Gracie Vaughn, and son Jackson Vaughn. She was adored by her grandchildren Amia, Amira, Amani, Lily, and Gwen. Cassandra is also survived by her mother Rita Gray, sister Amy Martz, brother Jerry (Karry) Gray, step brother Charles Dalton. Nieces Tabatha (Bryan) Curless, Abby Jones and Autumn Dalton. Nephews T.C. Gray, Thomas Martz, Dustin Gray, Trevor Wade, and Wyatt Dalton.

She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, grandfathers, father, and beloved friend Pete.

A ceremony to honor and celebrate Cassandra’s life will be held Saturday, March 2 from 11-3 PM at the American Legion Hamon Gray Post 83 located at 228 E. Lincolnway La Porte, IN 46350.

Cassandra’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
