Dean Austin Miller, 80, of Knox, Indiana, passed away Thursday August 24, 2023, at his home.

He was born March 20, 1943, in Gary, Indiana, the son of Russell Miller and Dorothea (Hufton) Miller.

Dean was the owner of D.A.M. Good Used TIres for over 20 years. He had many passions in life being an avid motorcyclist, hunter, loved gardening, and canning his own vegetables from his garden. Throughout his childhood, he had a horse named Dusty that he would ride from morning to night.; he truly just loved being outdoors. Dean's biggest passion was his love for his family, especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Gaynya (Ronnie) Renner of Cleburne, TX; two sons, Russell Miller, Roger Miller; his loving sister, Diana Poffinbarger, as well as numerous stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Miller and sister-in-law Doreen, long time companion Mary Reynolds; and brother-in-law, Robert Poffinbarger.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. There will be no services.
