Doris Lawrence

Mrs. Doris M. Lawrence, age 76, of La Porte, Ind., died 7:30 AM Friday, December 15, 2006, at Brentwood Assisted Living in La Porte, Ind. She was born November 17, 1930 in Ansted, West Virginia to the late Luther Watters and the late Marie Price Watters. She has lived in the LaPorte area for 49 years coming from West Virginia. Mrs. Lawrence was a retired teller from The LaPorte Bank & Trust. She was a member of Women of the Moose, Professional Business Women, and Over 40's Dance Club. On February 10, 1950 in Ansted West Virginia she married Harold Lawrence who preceded in death February 23, 2001. She is also survived by her Two Daughters, Mrs. Alice Kevin Peffers of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Deborah Pete Costello of Michigan City, Ind.; Two Sons, Mr. Harold L. Connie Lawrence of Brookston, Ind., Mr. Charles Jamie Lawrence of South Bend, Ind.; Twelve grandchildren; and Eight great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, December 18, 2006 and from 10:00 AM Tues. until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2006, Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating. Entombment will be at Swan Lake Memorial Garden in Michigan City, Ind.
