Edna Vardaman

Mrs. Edna L. Vardaman, age 82, of La Porte, Ind., died 8:15 PM Saturday, August 25, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. She was born May 3, 1925 in Columbia, MO. to the late William Richardson and the late Sidney Papen Richardson. Mrs. Vardaman was a homemaker and was a member of Church of the Nazarene. She loved raising flowers; she had a beautiful garden every year at her home. She loved listening and singing music. And she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. On Feb.10, 1963 in LaPorte Ind. she married James A. Vardaman who survives. She is also survived by Three Daughters, Ms. Charlotte McLeod of La Porte, Ind., Mrs. Letha Fusko of Kingsford Heights, Ind., Mrs. Shirley Don Gunter of McLeansboro, Ill.; One Son, Mr. Harold Lee Sue Mohler of La Porte, Ind.; Nine grandchildren; Eleven great-grandchildren, Two Sisters, Mrs. Patricia Elden Kruse of Hazelwood, Mo.; Mrs. Shirley Jim Willis of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; Two Brothers, Mr. Clifford Eva Richardson of Grand Junction, Mo., and Mr. Orville Geneva Richardson of Saint Clair, Mo. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2007. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2007, Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Springville Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
