Mr. Edward Ralph Lotter, age 88, of La Porte, Ind., died 8:07 AM Sunday, February 4, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born May 4, 1918 in LaPorte, Ind. to the late Edward Lotter and the late Hessie Smith Lotter. Mr. Lotter was employed by Howmet Corp. for 8 years and retired in 1988. Prior to working at Howmet Corp. he was employed for 30 years at the National Food Store as a meat cutter. He was a member of First Christian Church of LaPorte, Ind. He was also a Veteran of US Army, during WW II. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. On December 9, 1949 in LaPorte, Ind. he married Madeleine Wauters, who survives. He is also survived by his Two Daughters, Mrs. Janet Gregory Moore of Brown County, Ind., Mrs. Laurie Wally Meissner of West Chicago, Ill.; Two Sons, Mr. Tom Sue Lotter of Lombard, Ill., Mr. Eddie Lotter of Wanatah, Ind.; Eleven grandchildren Adrian Moore, Martin Moore, Jason Lotter, Nick Lotter, Aaron Lotter, Steve Lotter, Michelle Lotter, Andrea Hunter, Jordan Meissner, Joslyn Meissner, Mackenzie Meissner; Three great-grandchildren; and One Brother, Mr. Raymond W. Lotter of La Porte, Ind. He has been preceded in death by his parents, and One Sister, Laura M. Glossenger. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2007 and from 9:30 AM until time of the Service Wednesday February 7, 2007. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 7, 2007, Rev. Rick Abbott officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
