Elizabeth Codding

Mrs. Elizabeth W. Codding, age 93, of La Porte, Ind., died 3:30 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Beverly LivingCenter -Fountainview in LaPorte, Ind. She was born October 13, 1913 in LaPorte, Ind. to late Walter Wilson and the late Anna Hull Wilson. She has live in the LaPorte area all of her life. Mrs. Codding was employed as a secretary by American Home Foods for 15 years and retired in 1878. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, D.A.R., Terra Verde Garden Club, LaPorte Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Lionettes, LaPorte Historical Society and LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary. On May 29, 1965 in LaPorte, Ind. she married Thayer Codding who preceded in death July 6, 1993. She is survived by Two Sons, Mr. John Marcia Stroud of La Porte, Ind., Mr. Craig Stroud of La Porte, Ind.; One Step-son, Darrell Codding of Decatur, Ala.; Eleven grandchildren; Fifteen great-grandchildren; and a Special Niece and Care-giver Barb Alban. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Parents, and One Step Daughter Judith Stoffer. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, March 23, 2007 and from 1:30 Saturday until time of the Service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 2:30 PM Saturday, March 24, 2007, Rev. Douglas Hadley officiating. Interment will be at Patton Cemetery in La Porte, Ind.
