Georgiana J. Wolff, affectionately known as “Georgie” to those who loved her most, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her devoted family, on February 17, 2026, in LaPorte, Indiana. She was 81 years old.
Born on March 29, 1944, in LaPorte, Georgie was the beloved daughter of the late George Fowler and Mildred Barney Fowler. She grew up rooted in the values of faith, hard work, and compassion that would guide her throughout her life. She graduated proudly as a member of the Class of 1962 from Mill Creek High School. On May 2, 1964, she married the love of her life, Roger L. Wolff. Together, they shared 61 beautiful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, partnership, and unwavering devotion.

She also worked with the LaPorte County Public Library on the Bookmobile, bringing the gift of reading and learning to others. Her passion for mentorship and encouragement shone during her eight years as cheerleading coach at LaPorte High School, where she inspired LPHS students with her enthusiasm and leadership.
Georgie’s dedication extended further through her years as a cook at the LaPorte County Jail and as co-director of LaPorte County Voter Registration, where she faithfully served her community for six years. Her generous spirit continued through more than 12 years of volunteering at Potato Creek State Park. She and Roger attended Mill Creek Baptist Church, where their faith provided strength and fellowship.
Georgie embraced life fully and joyfully. She was an avid sports fan, with a special love for hockey and basketball. She found peace in reading and treasured the simple joys of camping with Roger. Together, they shared many wonderful adventures, enjoying cruises and traveling to Hawaii and Alaska, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Roger L. Wolff; her sons, Ray Wolff and Mark Wolff (Julie); her former daughter-in-law, Kristin Snyder; her beloved grandchildren, Katerina, Ashley, Jaxon, and Jordan (Kurstin); and her sister-in-law, Janet Fowler.
