Gerald Swanson

Mr. Gerald O. ?Jerry? Swanson, 59, of 9752 N. 200 E., LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Thursday May 20, 2004 at LaPorte Hospital. He was a life long resident of the LaPorte area. He was born April 15, 1945 to Joseph William and Dorothy Davis Swanson in LaPorte, Indiana. Mr. Swanson married Martha Stanage on October 31, 1964 in Three Oaks, Michigan, who preceded. He was employed by Whirlpool Corp. for thirty three years retiring in 1996. He is survived by one son; Chris Swanson of New Carlisle, Indiana, two sisters; Sharon McDonald of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, Margorie Kroening of Michigan City, Indiana, two brothers; James Swanson of New Carlisle, Indiana, Joseph Swanson Jr. of LaPorte, Indiana, two granddaughters; Mia and Sydney Swanson of New Carlisle, Indiana. He is preceded by his parents, wife and one sister; Katherine Schumaker. A funeral service will be Sunday May 23, 2004 at the Haverstock Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Larry Trublood officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday May 22, 2004 from 3-8 p.m. and Sunday from noon till time of service. Burial will be in the Posey Chapel Cemetery.
