Hoy D. Howard Jr. April 28, 1953-December 5, 2018 Hoy D. Howard Jr., 65, of La Porte, Indiana , passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. He was born April 28, 1953 in Knox, Indiana, the son of Hoy Howard Sr.and Josephine (Collins) Born. Hoy retired from Bruce Built Construction as a carpenter. He loved wood working and spending quality time with his family and friends. On August 30, 1980, in La Porte, Indiana, he married Lenore (Shaw) Howard who survives in La Porte, Indiana. He is also survived by his three sons, Adam (Emily) Howard of Mill Creek, IN, Scott (Dianna) Howard of Culver, IN, Thomas (Ann) Howard of Winamac, IN; daughter, Ashley (Bobby) Bom of Hamlet, IN; sister, Glenda (Ronald) Warner of Knox, IN; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Hoy was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Howard, step-father, Raymond Born; sister, Donna Howard; brother-in-law, Clyde Howard. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Indiana. A life celebration will be held at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1480 Boyd Blvd., La Porte, IN 46350, Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 115 W.
