James L. Anderson Jr. November 8, 1948-August 25, 2019 Mr. James L. Anderson Jr., 70, of La Porte, IN, passed away Sunday August 25, 2019 at his home in La Porte, IN. He was born November 8, 1948 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of James and Ola Lee Anderson. He is survived by his wife Nadia. Also survived by his son, Richard Martinez; daughters; Nichele Anderson Oneal, Carmen Anderson, Jamely Anderson, Sade Anderson, Jada Anderson; a brother, Gregory Anderson; seven Grandchildren, James Oneal, Michele Hollis, Jenice Oneal, Janelle Oneal, Madison Branch, Maze Smoot, and Richard James Martinez.; James was preceded in death by his parents James Anderson Sr, and Ola Lee Woods Anderson as well as his brother Larry Anderson Clark and a sister Phyllis Simmons. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, August 30, evening from 6 pm until 9 pm . A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home., Saturday August 31, 2019 at 11:00 am.
