James Bentley

James E. Bentley November 16, 1948-December 1, 2018 James E. Bentley, 70, of La Porte, Indiana , passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor-New Carlisle, Indiana. He was born November 16, 1948 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Ralph E. Bentley and Jean (McKibben) Bentley. James retired in 2004 as an LPN in the emergency room at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1974. He enjoyed collecting and watching sci-fi movies and spending time with his son Matthew and granddaughter, Rachel. He is survived by his son, Mathew (Karen) Walker of Reno, NV; grandchild, Rachel Walker of Reno, NV; two brothers, Robert Bentley and Mike Bentley both of La Porte, IN. James was preceded in death by both his parents. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Indiana.
