James Michael Dill January 22, 1922-January 23, 2018 Mr.James Michael Dill, 96, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital. He was born January 22, 1922 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the son of Fredrick Dill and Elizabeth (Pisner) Dill. James Retired in 1987 as a maintenance and tool and die foreman for New York Blower after 36 years of service. He also owned and operated James Dill Well Drilling for many years. He was a veteran of the US Army during WW II and was a member of the First Apostolic United Pentecostal Church of La Porte. He leaves behind his wife and sweet heart of 74 years Christle (Seitz) Dill, they were married on October 17, 1943, in Dowagiac, MI. He is also survived by his daughter, Pat (Mark) Kretzmann of Valparaiso, IN; son, Mike (Debbie) Dill of La Porte, IN; four Grandchildren, Eric Nevers, Rachel (Ryan) Nunemaker, Rebekah (David) Best, Sarah (Ben) Haight; and three Great Grandchildren, Ethan, Hannah, and Hunter. James was preceded in death by his parents brother, Eugene Dill, and 2 sisters, Florence Menke and Irene Seymour. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Friday, January 26, 2018, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm and Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 1:00 pm until time of the service. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday January 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Richard Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow at the Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Apostolic United Pentecostal Church, 1930 Boyd Blvd., LaPorte, IN 46350.
