John N. Wilson, Sr.

John N. Wilson, Sr. was born December 26, 1957 in La Porte, Indiana to Albert David, Sr. and Dorothy J. (Spriggs) Wilson in La Porte County, Indiana.

John was a jack of all trades.  He was a very good mechanic, worked for Tree-Core for many years, farmed with his father and loved to cook. John was very devoted to his family, especially his Dad.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Mary Ann Wilson; his sons, John N. "Red" (Jenny)Wilson, Jr. and Jennifer Newton, Joshua L. (Lynn) Wilson; grandchildren Karissa Gaddis, Cyprus B., Trista L., Katrina M., Noah L. Wilson, Ashely L., Shantell L., and Jonathon Davis; great-grandchildren, Kayson, Keegan, Jersey, Harley, Nova, Chevelle, Brieyle and the apple of his eye, his great - granddaughter Mercedes and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister, Wanda Dutcher, a brother, Albert D. Wilson and many friends, coworkers and neighbors.

John was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kathy, son Kurt and grandson, J.D.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 29 and noon until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021, with The Reverend Dennis Spriggs, New Apostolic Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Sauktown Cemetery, Mill Creek, IN.
