Mr. Joseph C. Johnson, age 26, of La Porte, Ind., died 12:04 PM Monday, June 4, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind. He was born May 1, 1981 in LaPorte, Ind. to Charles Johnson and Cindy Jo Galloway Johnson. He has lived in the LaPorte area most of his live. Mr. Johnson was employed by Teledyne Casting Service as a welder. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #2439. He loved fishing, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his Father and Step-Mother, Charles and Rebecca Johnson; Two Daughters, Haley Johnson of Valparaiso, Ind. Ashley Johnson of Valparaiso, Ind.; One Son, Joseph V.C. Johnson, Jr. of La Porte, Ind.; Two Grandmothers, Georgia Galloway of LaPorte, Ind., Shirley Johnson of Kingsford Heights, Ind.; Step Grandparents, Chester & Jean Downey of Fish Lake, Ind.; Two Sisters, Darcy Dalton of La Porte, Ind., Whitney Johnson of La Porte, Ind.; Three Step Sister Ashley Elkins of La Porte, Ind., Heather Elkins of La Porte, Ind., Kayla Stouder of La Porte, Ind.; One Step Brother Taylor Stouder of La Porte, Ind.; and One Nieces and One Nephew. He is preceded in death by his mother Cindy Jo Johnson, and Two Grandfathers, Joseph Galloway and Charlie Johnson. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 7, 2007 and from 10:00 AM Friday until time of the service. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Friday, June 8, 2007, Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Interment will be at Pine Lake Cemetery in LaPorte, Ind.
