Joseph Mikowski Sr.

Mr. Joseph A. Mikowski, Sr., age 64, of La Porte, Ind., died 7:17 AM Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born September 11, 1942 in Muskegon, Mich. to the late Alphonse Mikowski and the late Frances Mazurek Mikowski. He has lived in the LaPorte area for 31 years coming from Muskegon, Mich. Mr. Mikowski, Sr. was employed by Allied Signal of Benton Harbor for years and retired in 1994. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and a member of P.N.A. On December 4, 1964 in Muskegon, Mich. to Patricia Waller who survives. He is also survived by his Three Daughters, Mary Mikowski of Plainsboro, N.J., Barbara Mikowski of La Porte, Ind., Teresa Mikowski of La Porte, Ind.; Two Sons, Joseph Mikowski, Jr. of Elgin, Ill., Michael Mikowski of La Porte, Ind.; Five grandchildren, Grant Mikowski, Ethan Mikowski, Jade Mikowski, Bridget Mikowski, Gavin Mikowski; Two Sisters, Trudy O'Brien of Benton Harbor, Mich., Agnes Loula of Ohio; Two Brothers, Thomas Mikowski of Kingsford Heights, Ind. and Raymond Mikowski of Plainwell, Mich. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Two Grandchildren, Alexis Mikowski and Devante Lovelace. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, April 1, 2007. A Prayer Vigil will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at St. Peter Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Monday, April 2, 2007, Rev. Joseph Angotti officiating.
