Kathryn Jordan (95)
January 9, 1930-August 9, 2025
Kathryn Jordan (95) passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at Brentwood Assisted Living with her children, son, Dennis and daughter, Jackie by her side. She is leaving an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born on January 9, 1930, in Huntingdon, Tennessee, she lived a life rich in love and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kathryn's professional career was a Jumbo Glue Operator from 1963 until 1998 at Boise Cascade/Jefferson Smurfit, where her diligence and commitment stood as a testament to her strong work ethic. However, it was in her personal life that Kathryn truly flourished. Family was the cornerstone of her existence; she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her loved ones, embodying the essence of nurturing in every aspect of her life.
Her southern cooking skills turned holidays in to feasts. Kathryn took great joy in providing for her family, feeding not just their bodies but also their souls. She welcomed relatives and friends alike into her home, fostering a sense of belonging through her generous spirit. Notably, her hospitality extended beyond family gatherings. She often cooked for many bikers as they stopped with Dennis to visit while riding on to their next destination. This created many memories by all who participated.
Kathryn was particularly fond of the simple pleasures in life, often delighting in the warmth of the sun, even when temperatures soared. Her love for gardening also shone through with greens, tomatoes, peppers, and cabbage as she would sit out by her garden and bask with friends and family.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her son Dennis W. Jordan, her daughter Jacqueline D. Jordan, granddaughter Cassadra J. Jordan, grandson Keagan M. Browder, and her host of great-grandchildren Kameron, Seylia, Akira, Nyia, Bryson, Joshua, Jerica, and a new edition to the family that she was graced to meet her great-great-grandson Dante. Kathryn treasured her family above all else and her legacy undoubtedly will continue through them.
Reunited in eternity with her beloved husband Chester Jordan, her parents James and Florence (Ervin) White, and her son Clayton Jordan, Kathryn’s spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those left behind.
As we reflect on the life of Kathryn Jordan, we remember a woman who taught us all the true meaning of love, dedication, and honesty.
