Kenneth Norton Heaps, 89, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 2:05 a.m., Friday, February 6, 2026 at his home.
He was born on April 14, 1936, in Chatanooga, Tennessee to Kenneth Rudolph Christopher and Francis (Crane) Heaps.
Kenneth worked as a plant watch engineer for many years at NIPSCO. He was greatly loved by friends and family and will be truly missed.
A graveside will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Kingsbury Cemetery. Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave, La Porte, (219) 362-3333 is caring for the arrangements.
