Larry Arndt

Mr. Larry L. Arndt, age 71, of Union Mills, Ind., died Thursday, August 23, 2007, at LaPorte Hospital in La Porte, Ind. He was born February 6, 1936 in Tracey, IN, to the late Edwin Arndt and the late Laura Kegebein Arndt. Mr Arndt has lived most of his life in the Union Mills, Indiana, Area. Preceded in death are three brother, Owen, Richard, Paul, two sisters, Lois, Florence. On August 19, 1955 in Tracey, Indiana, he married Nellie Moore, who survives. Mr. Arndt had been employed by Kaiser Aluminum for 14 years and retired in 1984. A member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Knox, Indiana. He was a member of LaPorte Camera Club, liked camping, fishing with grandchildren, loved his grandchildren, liked to travel. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Nellie Arndt of Union Mills, Ind, One Daughter, Mrs. Vicki James Mick of Kingsford Heights, Ind, One Son, Mr. Duane Theresa Arndt of Kingsford Heights, Ind, One Sister, Mrs. Ruth Wheeler of Indiana, Two Brothers, Mr. Wayne Mary Arndt of Illinois, Mr. Jerry Rachel Arndt of North Carolina Six grandchildren, Brandon, Anastasia, Krista, Trenton, Elise, Teresa. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 26, 2007 and from 9:00 AM, until time of service, Monday, August 27, 2007. Funeral service will be at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, August 27, 2007, with Rev. Tim Miller officiating. Interment will be at Tracy Cemetery in Hamlet, Ind.
