Lawrence "LeRoy" J. Queer, 81, of Kingsbury, Indiana passed away Wednesday December 8, 2021 at his home.

He was born on December 2, 1940 in Knox, Indiana to Lawrence and Rose (Risner) Queer.

On October 8, 1972, Le Roy married Beverly Wolff. They were married for 44 years before her passing on December 29, 2016.

LeRoy served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, Illinois for over 40 years. Upon retirement, he worked part-time at Kabelin Ace Hardware in La Porte, where he was known by countless people in the community. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Tracy. He had a great loved for the congregation, many of whom he considered family.

LeRoy enjoyed getting together with his brothers and sisters. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In his later years, one of his favorite things was spending time with his great-grandchildren, watching movies, and sharing snacks.

Le Roy is survived by his two daughters, Annalee (Steven) Anderson of Wanatah, and Christine (Jerry) Ford of Union Mills; grandchildren Leanna (Jesse) Webb, Kenneth (Katie) Anderson, Eric (Jessica) Ford, Adam Ford; great-grandchildren Kendall and Camden Webb, Millie and Jane Anderson, Ava Ford; siblings Marge (Charles) Wolff, Linda (Donald) Crosby, and Tom (Bev) Queer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly, and sister Clara Schacht.

Arrangements are entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services where a visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 15 from 11 am until service time at 1 PM. Rev. David Albertin will be officiating the service at 1 PM. Interment will follow in Tracy Cemetery in Hamlet, IN.
