Mrs. Lois Jean Burris Sarah, age 78, of La Porte, Ind., died Friday, September 21, 2007, at Arbors of Michigan City in Michigan City, Ind. She was born on December 22, 1928 in Mill Springs, KY, to the late Lilburn Burris and the late Marie West Burris. Also preceded in death is her husband, Mr. Jesse Sarah, and a sister, Mrs. Monace Bilbrey. On February 16, 1946 in Muncie, IN, she was married to Mr. Jesse Sarah, who preceded December 28, 1992. Mrs. Sarah was employed by Gracemans as a Salesperson, she also worked for the Fashion Shop, the Fashion Corner, in Muncie, IN, and Anderson Fur Company, in Anderson, IN. She loved oil & acrylic Painting. She enjoyed hand Quilting and gardening. She is also survived by her One Daughter, Mrs. Rita S David Gray of La Porte, Ind, One Son, Mr. Joseph M Sarah of Columbus, Ohio, Four Sisters, Flaustine Billman of Muncie, Ind, Mrs. Lydia David Patton of Bowling Green, Ky, Mary Pippin of Covington, Ind, Mrs. Lela Pinder of Winchester, Ind, Three Brothers, Mr. Tommy Rhonda Burris of Muncie, Ind, Brother-Mr. Kenneth Burris of New Castle, Ind, Brother-Mr. Caleb Daniel Burris of Grand Junction, Colo. She has Three grandchildren and Five great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind., where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2007. At the Elm Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park, in Muncie , IN. The Funeral service will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park at 3:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2007 , with Pastor Michael David Gray officiating. Interment will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, Ind.
