Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida hija y hermana, María Isabel “Chabelita” Negrete, quien falleció el 16 de Junio del 2025 a la edad de 19 años.

Chabelita nació el 12 de Mayo del 2006 en Michigan City, Indiana. Le sobreviven sus queridos padres, Osvaldo y Nancy Negrete, y su hermano Daniel Negrete.

Chabelita residió toda su vida en LaPorte. Bautizada como católica, asistió a la Iglesia Católica de San José. Estudió en las escuelas primarias Hailmann y Riley, en la escuela secundaria Boston y en la escuela intermedia Kesling, y se graduó en el 2024 de LaPorte High School. Era conocida por su risa contagiosa, su gran corazón y su pasión por el ballet, donde estudió en la Fundación de Danza de LaPorte. Le encantaba tener las uñas rosas, rizarse el pelo y estar con su familia. Le encantaba ver su programa favorito, El Chavo del Ocho, y escuchar música. Su color favorito era el rosa. Su espíritu brillante conmovió a todos los que la conocieron y la extrañaremos profundamente.

La misa de cuerpo presente se llevará acabo el Lunes, 23 de Junio del 2025 a las 11:00am en St. Joseph Catholic Church 109 “C” Street La Porte, Indiana.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter and sister, Maria Isabel "Chabelita" Negrete, who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 19.

Chabelita was born on May 12, 2006 in Michigan City, Indiana. She is survived by her beloved parents, Osvaldo and Nancy Negrete and brother Daniel Negrete.

Chabelita was a lifelong resident of Laporte. Baptized a catholic, she attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. She attended Hailmann Elementary, Riley Elementary, Boston Middle School, Kesling Intermediate School and graduated in 2024 from LaPorte High School. She was known for her contagious laugh, big heart and passion for ballet where she attended at Dance Foundation of LaPorte. She loved to have her pink nails, loved getting her hair curled and loved being around her family. She loved to watch her favorite show, El Chavo del Ocho, and listen to music. Her favorite color was pink. Her brilliant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her and will be missed deeply.

She is survived by her beloved family;
