Marilyn Diane Renz June 19, 1939-December 18, 2019 Marilyn Renz, 80, of La Porte, IN, passed away Wednesday December 18, 2019 at La Porte Hospital in La Porte, IN. She was born June 19, 1939 in La Porte, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth Halling and Lela (Simonton) Halling. Dogs were Marilyn's passion in life. She was a professional handler, groomer and she showed dogs. She was a member of the La Porte Yacht Club as well as a member of the Polish Falcons in La Porte. Marilyn was loved by her family and will be dearly missed. On September 15, 2007 in La Porte, she married David Renz who survives. She is also survived by her son, Kevin (Jeanette) Raymond; two daughters; Kelly (Steven) Goulet, Kim (Rod) Clark; six Grandchildren, Keith, Karyn, Amber, Allison, A.J., and Claire; Two Step-Children, Krista, and David; and two Step-Grandchildren, Carley and Caden. There is one great-grandchild on its way as well. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Lela Halling. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Sunday, December 22 from 3 until 5 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23 at 10 am with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Reverend Canon Michelle I. Walker of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Indiana will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Swan Lake Cemetery, Michigan City, IN.
