Mr. Charles Lenig

Charles L. Lenig February 25, 1942-March 30, 2017 Charles L. Lenig, 75, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his home in LaPorte. He was born February 25, 1942 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Daniel K. Lenig and Ethel M. (Fissgus ) Lenig. Charles retired in 2002, after 28 years as a clerk working for Roll Coater. He graduated from Rolling Prairie High School in 1960 and served in the National Guard from 1963-1969. He was a member of the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church where he served as Trustee for many years, also was treasurer of the Rolling Prairie Cemetery Board. Charles was a past member of the Rolling Prairie Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of South Bend. On July 16, 1966, in East Gary, IN, he married Alice C. (Bland) Lenig who survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Charles "Ed" (Ginger) Lenig of Zionsville, IN, Jason (Susy) Lenig of Rolling Prairie, IN; two grandsons, Luke Lenig, Alexander Lenig; three granddaughters, Madison Lenig, Molly Lenig, Megan Lenig; brother, Arthur Lenig of Rolling Prairie, IN; sister, Grace Siford of Rolling Prairie, IN. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel R. Lenig and James A. Lenig. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and at the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A life celebration will be held at Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 am with Pastor Debbie K. Beason, and Rev. Dorothy Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Rolling Prairie Cemetery, Rolling Prairie, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church 3444 E.
